Running Accomplishments:

A year ago, it was difficult for me to jog even a couple of blocks without strained breaths. In the spring, I upped that distance to a little over a mile. Then 2 miles, 3 miles without stopping. Once or twice this past summer, I ran 5 miles without stopping (in about 45-50 minutes), which has been my most significant running experience thus far.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to break past the difficulty of running 5 miles. My current goal is to run 5 miles within a faster time than I have before, and then 10 miles without stopping. That may need to happen in increments, starting with a 1 or 2 mile increase at a time. I'd like to learn proper/intelligent interval and core training to increase my efficiency, strength, endurance and balance while running and also to increase my lean muscle mass and decrease my body fat. Within the next year or two, I aim to be able to run a half-marathon with ease.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run at least one marathon. Maybe the Boston? Maybe I'll start with a local event.

Personal:

Generally cheery, newly-married art student who looks forward to motherhood within the next few years.
